Roman Kabachii

A historian, a writer of political essays.

Born and grew up in Kherson region in a family of village teachers. Finished Kherson pedagogical university and postgraduate course in Marie Sklodowska Curie University in Lublin (Poland) as a scholarship holder of the European college of Polish and Ukrainian universities. Defended a thesis with a topic The resettlement of Ukrainian from Poland to the South of Ukraine in 1944-1946.

After returning to Ukraine, worked as an editor of the program the New Time on the 5 Channel on TV. I contribute with periodicals Critica (The Critique, Kyiv) and Ukrains’kiy Zhurnal (The Ukrainian journal, Praha).

Interest: authentic song folklore of the eastern Slavs.
